Breaking The Fast
It is customary to fast from sundown on the eve of Yom Kippur until the following sundown, then break the fast with a big celebratory meal.
There are a few rules to remember for this dinner go smoothly. 1) Have something ready on the table to eat as soon and the fast is broken. 2) Make sure the first course is ready to go and doesn't require additional cooking, as to get it out quickly. 3) Have something sweet. Easy.
Here is my "Break the Fast" meal.
